Microneedling

What is microneedling? Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a skin rejuvenation treatment used to resurface the skin. It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with other therapies, such as RF therapy, to treat many conditions. It is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needles to create injuries within the skin, which help promote collagen and elastin formation. The microneedling pen-like device has needles in the tip that oscillate in and out extremely fast, creating very precise, controlled micro-perforations on the skin's surface. Microneedling is usually combined with topical serums; here at Dermiglo Wellness, we use topical exosomes and growth factors of the highest quality that help us further target specific conditions and speed up recovery time.

How many treatments will I need? The number of treatments depends on the patient's age, health, metabolism, desired degree of rejuvenation or goals, treated area, and current state of the treated area, all of which will be discussed during your consultation. Upon completion of a microneedling session, you will begin to see improvement in the skin within the first week and further improvements as the month's progress.

What can microneedling treat? The procedure is beneficial for acne scars, body scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, sun damage, pigmentation, uneven skin textures, sagging skin, and hair loss.

Microneedling is best suited for those looking to treat early signs of aging and prevent progression.

*** Not everyone is a good candidate for this treatment, certain factors need to be ruled out and discussed at the consultation.
